Using a Pro Controller or playing in handheld mode doesn’t fare much better, their reliance on the control sticks making things feel even more awkward. Managing the movement of your arms and using buttons to raise and lower them or manipulate your fingers is no easy task especially given their temperamental nature. Sliding the Joy-Con off from the device and making use of their motion features is easily the better option but still one far from perfect. It's a shame too because games like this can actually be really cool if they're done correctly.Surgeon Simulator CPR is a very fiddly game whichever control scheme you opt for. You don't even get to cut open your own patients - they come pre cut open and all you have to do is wave some flailing utensils around inside them until you either fail the mission or somehow actually manage to cut the right organs. And good luck once you don't properly place a tool back down onto the table with pinpoint accuracy & precision - you'll never be able to pick it up again! Any game from the Trauma Center series for the Wii puts this game to shame. Good luck pulling half of the organs & bones out of the patients with the horrible controls! Besides how ridiculous it is to simply pick up utensils/organs, you can't even properly use half of them - Scissors? Nope. They could have fixed this by making the hand transparent, but nope! They don't offer the option to invert the right thumbstick. Your hand usually gets in the way of your view so you never have a clue what you're actually cutting at. Everything is unbelievably accurate - from picking up instruments, to actually using them. For a "simulator" this guy has got to be the worst surgeon on the planet. And this is for PS4?!!! Good You don't get a score any higher than 2/10 when the controls are so bad that it makes the game unplayable. You don't get a score any higher than 2/10 when the controls are so bad that it makes the game unplayable. Only recommended if your looking for something to kill time for a big hot triple A release. Even play co-op so you can have two hands to control, it could be fun. As I said before don't try this in one sitting. This will assure that you will never be bored and yet challenged. From heart transplant in hospital, to kidney transplant in a corridor, to even an eye transplant in space. You play as a famous surgeon who can't even write his own name properly, who must perform various transplants in different settings. Everything will need to be practiced once to get a taste of it and then move on for completion. The phrase "practice makes perfect" could not define this game better. This is fun but I don't recommend trying to complete at least one section of the game in one sitting. Yet there are barriers to stop it from going completely of the rails and into being completely unplayable. Yet there are barriers to stop it from going completely of the rails and into being This game is frustrating, old and nearly pointless. This game is frustrating, old and nearly pointless. Bottom line, I would recommend this game. It makes the game challenging and can make you laugh when the slightest twitch will cause the drill you are holding to possibly get stuck in the middle of Bob's organs (Bob is the patient) while still on. But that is the point, Surgeon Simulator is famous for many reasons and one of those reasons is the controls. Now rotating the controller, I can tell, has made people think about your sudden movements while playing. To rotate the hand you move the controller, to move the hand about you use the right directional pad. However, from what I've seen, this game is overall a brilliant console title. Many would think this game on a console would be crazy to do, as the controls would be very complicated. Both the iPad and PC versions have been a success and now, we have the Anniversary Edition on PS4. The purposely difficult simulator of surgery many have grown to love. Both the iPad and PC versions have been a Oh Surgeon Simulator (2013).
